Technique for obtaining traces
We collect address traces from processors using a hardware monitoring technique. The original hardware was known as BACH (BYU Address Collection Hardware) and our new system is very similar except it uses off-the-shelf hardware. This system is used to collect all of the address traces distributed from the Trace Distribution Center.
